Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse position is located in Wisconsin. This role involves coordinating and providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups presenting at any point on the spectrum from illness to wellness. The nurse will perform all aspects of direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Two-year nursing degree; Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure; current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Four-year nursing degree; ATCN certification
• Additional Information: Responsible for triage using the Emergency Severity Index 5-level process, documentation of patient care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation protocols. Participates in patient discharge planning and educational initiatives for emergency providers and students. Proficient in computerized documentation and equipment maintenance.
