Registered Nurse / Telemetry Medical Surgical Float

Job Summary:
Telemery Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Rock Island, Illinois. This role involves working as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide patient care across various disciplines in a busy trauma center. The position requires flexibility to float within the same discipline across local campuses and to manage high patient volumes with a commitment to maintaining safe patient ratios.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of previous experience, at least one travel contract completed preferred. State licenses for Illinois and Iowa required. Valid drivers license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within one year, license verification, and documentation of required certifications (BLS and ACLS from AHA). References include one supervisory reference at the time of submission. Candidate must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, except for local candidates in Madison with a 10% rate reduction.
• Additional Information: This unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:7. Guaranteed up to 48 hours weekly, with contracts available for 8, 10, or 13 weeks. Orientation scheduled for multiple dates in 2026, starting from January 12, 2026. The candidate may be required to work during summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). The role may involve working with various clinical interventions including chest tubes, fem stops, trachs, central lines, and medication titrations such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban.
