Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:
A Senior Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Apple Valley, California. This role involves working primarily independently with strong critical thinking and communication skills. The technician will be responsible for sterilization and decontamination procedures within an acute care hospital setting, supporting various surgical and procedural units.

Job Details:

• Location: Apple Valley, California
• Shift: Nights, with shifts varying between 1900-0330 and 2130-0600; additional shifts include 0500-1330, 0630-1500, 0700-1530, 1000-1830, 1330-2200, and 1900-0330. On-call shifts are scheduled from 2200-0700 on weekdays and 0700-1900 or 0700-0700 on weekends/holidays.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, with variable days including nights and weekends.
• Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in sterile processing, with 3 years in a hospital setting in a lead or precepting role. Valid certifications such as CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or HSPA are required. Additional qualifications include experience with Da Vinci Xi, Getinge Autoclave, Amsco Autoclave, Steris V-Pro, Steris System 1e, Getinge 86 series washer, Triton 72 ultrasonic cleaner, and familiarity with robotic surgical equipment.
• Certifications: BLS, CBSPD or HSPA.
• Additional Requirements: Must be capable of operating specialized sterilization and decontamination equipment, and work in a high-volume environment. Must include RTO (Requested Time Off) requests at the time of submission; onsite training consists of approximately 40 hours.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sterile processing, including leadership or precepting in a hospital environment.
• Other Details: Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are acceptable. Must be able to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays. Candidates may need to float between departments or sister facilities.
