Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Los Angeles, California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in a high-volume emergency department setting. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and care quality through critical thinking and adherence to established standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; acute care facility experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
- Essential Functions: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops, implements, and evaluates care plans. Coordinates and delegations duties within the healthcare team. Provides health education to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Additional Information: This role requires Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience. The start date is September 14, 2026. Holiday time off will not be approved.
