Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializes in Step Down Unit nursing and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care in a progressive step-down environment, with responsibilities tailored to the needs of patients requiring intermediate levels of monitoring and treatment. The role requires adaptability across a variety of acute care units, primarily in progressive care or telemetry settings.

Job Details:

• Position: RN Step Down (Specialty: Step Down Unit)
• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of acute care experience in PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry units, certification in RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills, experience with EPIC electronic health record system, ability to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience, familiarity with acute care protocols and procedures, experience working in diverse unit environments
• Additional Information: The successful candidate will be placed on a unit based on current needs, either Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Med-Surg Telemetry, depending on skills and experience. Clinical skills must include RN Step Down (PCU) specialty certification. Candidates must be willing to float within their skill set or to nearby facilities as required.
