Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, with a focus on stepdown and telemetry monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Shift: Nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, including a minimum of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday day/night) per 6-week schedule period
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; appropriate licenses; experience in stepdown and telemetry environments; prior experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery populations (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass) within the past year; no minimum experience needed
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU); familiarity with procedures such as epidural management, chest tube management, IV glucocarder, and cardiac GTT management; team player, enjoys fast-paced environments, flexible demeanor
• Additional Information: No call required; flexibility to work holidays; float rotation may be required in some areas with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6-7 in select units
