Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) registered nurse position is located in Springfield, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced, level II trauma certified facility. The nurse will support high-acuity surgical cases across multiple specialties, including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and general procedures, utilizing advanced equipment and robotic systems.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/31/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of trauma experience and well-rounded surgical experience in specialties such as ortho (including total joints), neuro (including craniotomy), general/trauma, vascular, GYN/urology, ENT/plastics, eyes, and robotics. Must have at least 1 year of Epic electronic charting system experience. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in level I trauma units and familiarity with DaVinci Xi and DV5 robotic systems including laparoscopic and general adult and pediatric procedures.
• Additional Information: The facility performs high acuity orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries around the clock as part of its Level II trauma certification. Advanced equipment includes DaVinci robotics with four active robot rooms, Doppler, Ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, video systems, lasers, various stapling systems, and neuro beds with attachments. The unit has 60-70 cases daily and 385 staffed beds within a non-profit, Level II trauma designated short-term acute care setting. The RN must be comfortable in a high-pressure environment requiring adaptability in advanced surgical procedures.
