Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position is based in Rochester, New York. This role involves providing patient care within a cardiac unit, with a focus on interpreting dysrhythmias, managing rapid response teams, and utilizing various respiratory and airway management techniques. The position requires the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and is scheduled for night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York state license, 1 year of recent experience, mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placement of intravenous lines, certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC charting system experience, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, experience with rapid response teams, peripheral line care and management, use of nasal cannula and oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols.
• Special Requirements: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response team activation, use of special equipment including oxygen tanks and non-invasive airway devices, and adherence to infection control procedures.
• Additional Information: The role involves working on a cardiac unit with interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. Travelers will be required to float within scope to meet operational needs and submit a minimum of 1 professional submittal. All travelers must be within the states licensing requirements, and foreign education verification may be necessary.
