Job Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position available in Miles City, Montana. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, providing health education and supportive treatment to promote patient well-being.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in Montana, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and experience or training appropriate for the labor and delivery unit.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree of Nursing, certification as appropriate for the unit or service, previous experience in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Additional Information: Performs health data assessments, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, resource utilization, medical function execution, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring, and documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications or to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
