Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, provide health teaching and counseling, and execute delegated medical procedures to support patient well-being. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights: 3x12 hours shifts per week, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours weekly.
  • Required Qualifications: - Current RN license in the state of practice or a Compact RN license - BLS (American Heart Association) certification - ACLS (American Heart Association) certification - 1+ years of nursing experience in a relevant setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: - Previous ICU nursing experience - Bachelor`s degree of Nursing (preferred)
  • Additional Information: - May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs - May need to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts - Responsible for clinical documentation, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring, and resource utilization - Must perform health data assessment, nursing care, therapy and treatment planning, health teaching, and health counseling
