Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Gardner, Massachusetts. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients, including assessments, interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Job Details:

• Location: Gardner, MA
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Current Massachusetts RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire
• Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred; previous telemetry and ICU experience required; minimum 0 years of experience for certain cases
• Responsibilities include assessing and reassessing critically ill patients, managing invasive procedures, monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and collaborating in multidisciplinary rounds. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gases, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative patient assessment.
• Additional duties include documentation, patient and family education, participation in VAP bundle protocols, and active involvement in clinical rounds and team planning.
