Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse specializes in Labor and Delivery (L&D) within the Labor and Delivery Department. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for obstetric patients, ensuring safe delivery and postpartum care while adhering to hospital standards and unit policies. The position requires providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and high-quality care to expectant mothers throughout the childbirth process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License; Completion of basic professional curriculum of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing; 0.0 years of experience; BLS, NRP & proof of instruction/passage of Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience (South, Yale); Labor and Delivery experience; TeamBirth experience.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will utilize the nursing process to care for obstetric patients, including assessments, planning, patient teaching, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Emphasis on documentation accuracy, patient safety, and adherence to clinical pathways is essential.
