Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Med Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves working the night shift and requires a minimum of two years of recent experience in a relevant specialty. The role includes charge responsibilities and possible float requirements based on unit needs, with assignments ending on Saturdays and an assignment duration of approximately two to three weeks per month, depending on operational needs.

Job Details:

• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
• Position: Med Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in relevant specialty; active VA or Compact license required upon start
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner experience preferred
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with assignments ending on Saturdays; 2 to 3 weekends per month based on unit needs
• Float: Float rotation may be required depending on staffing needs
• Additional Information: All requested time off must be submitted with the application; limited RTO allowed. Client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to the start of each shift due to census fluctuations. No chemotherapy certification is required.
