Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Austin, TX. This seasonal contract position is scheduled to begin on 08/17/2026, offering a 12-hour shift schedule. Job Details
- Location: Austin, TX
- Shift: 12-hour days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Shift times are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or equivalent, rotating weekends
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; 2+ years of nursing experience in labor and delivery or a high-volume obstetric setting; certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP; competency in fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exam procedures, and C-section circulation; experience with electronic fetal monitoring systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with internal monitor placement, previous employment in a Level IV unit, familiarity with Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US EMR Meditech systems, and a positive team-oriented attitude.

- Number of beds: 32
- Staffing: 150 staff members including charge nurses and co-charge nurses on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratio: 1:2 in labor and delivery care
- Equipment includes Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US EMR Meditech
- Typical procedures performed: Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD), cerclages, C-Sections, TOLAC
- Additional Information:
- Candidates must adhere to the units dress code, wearing solid blue or grey sweatshirts; navy blue scrub tops or T-shirts are not permitted.
