Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart nurse in Dallas, TX. This role involves working within a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room environment supporting open heart surgeries, including congenital heart procedures. The position requires providing specialized perioperative care to pediatric cardiac patients in a busy, close-knit team dedicated to excellence in patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Position: Operating Room Open Heart Nurse
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

• Location: 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, TX 75230
• Unit: Pediatric CVOR with 2 CVOR rooms, a team of 9 staff members, specializing in pediatric open heart surgery including congenital heart procedures
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have pediatric open heart or adult/veteran CVOR experience. Certifications, education, and at least 1-year perioperative experience are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric CVOR experience and familiarity with open heart surgery procedures are highly preferred.
• Schedule: Day shift with 10-hour shifts, 40 hours minimum per week. Call is required after hours and on weekends.
• Additional Information: The unit features a dedicated pediatric congenital heart team with recent expansion into a 25-bed cardiac ICU. The team values critical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to work under stress within a collaborative environment.
