Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technicians and Registered Nurses are needed in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role requires clinical expertise in various cardiac procedures and participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule cycle is made in 6-week increments with self-scheduling and manager final approval.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications. For Registered Nurses, a minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience is required. For Technicians, ARRT certification is required, and RCIS alone is not acceptable.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with all case types, including diagnostic and interventional procedures such as LHC/RCH, NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral interventions, loop recorders, Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes.
  • Support within the Department: Charge RN participation, receptionists, hospitalist/physician availability after hours, respiratory therapy, and managerial support.
  • Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Phillips hemodynamics monitors, Mergin PACS, Phillips C-arm.
  • Orientation: 1 day onboarding on the unit.
  • Additional Notes: Scrub color provided. Parking options available with agency sign-up; location is minutes from public transit. The hospital is a teaching, Magnet-designated facility with advanced stroke, trauma, and perinatal centers.
