Job Summary
Operating Room Technician (OR Technologist) in Portland, Maine. This position involves working in the operating room environment with a focus on trauma-related procedures. The role requires a team-oriented, self-motivated professional able to handle high-stress situations while maintaining flexibility to support various surgical teams. Trauma experience is essential for this assignment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM CST, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CST certification; proficiency in operating room procedures; minimum of 2 years of travel experience; trauma experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general surgery, genitourinary/gynaecological, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, or endovascular procedures.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Position is a replacement for a prior staff member.
    • The role involves supporting a 26-bed operating room with patient ratios of 1:1.
    • Equipment used includes Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot.
    • EMR system: Epic.
    • The position requires flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and being a team player.
    • Dress code is teal scrubs issued from the hospital.
    • The start date for this assignment is 08/24/2026.
