Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in Eureka, CA. This role involves providing perioperative care for a diverse patient population within a well-rounded surgical environment. The OR nurse will support a variety of surgical procedures, demonstrating a strong skillset in vascular, robotic, and neuro experiences, along with the ability to float between hospital units and affiliated facilities as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, 2 years of experience in operating room nursing, certifications in ACLS and BLS, and specific Epic charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vascular, robotic, or neuro procedures is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals.
• Additional Information:
  • The daily census is approximately 30 surgical cases.
  • Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
  • The position requires prior references covering 1 year, with at least 6 months for CNAs, submitted during the compliance process.
  • Travelers are expected to be flexible with floating to sister facilities. Refusal to float may result in assignment termination.
  • Mobile communication devices will be provided or reimbursed if required for the assignment.
  • Housing options should be explored locally, as options may be limited.
  • The assignment begins on 08/24/2026, with a 40-hour workweek and scheduled days off to be determined based on department needs.
