Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Washington, D.C. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care on a night shift on an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. The role requires adherence to facility-specific policies and practices to deliver safe, effective, and age-appropriate care for patients across various age groups.

Job Details:

• Location: Washington, D.C.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS and ACLS; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired; current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district; at least 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience; 2 years of RN experience; Cerner experience required; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN preferred.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform various patient care functions following facility policies, including initial and ongoing assessments, admission assessments, and interpretation of patient information. The position demands competence, compassion, and efficiency in delivering patient-centered care, with an understanding of growth and development considerations across the lifespan.
