Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) needed in a birthing pavilion. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a busy healthcare facility that handles approximately 1,300 deliveries annually. The position offers rotating shifts and requires a dedicated professional capable of adhering to staffing guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN license in the state, minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in labor and delivery nursing, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including days and nights.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients in a facility with 21 rooms, a two-bed triage, and two operating rooms. The staffing follows AWHONN guidelines, including nurse:patient ratios of 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for cervical ripening, 1:1 for high-risk medication administration, and 1:3 for antepartum and postpartum patients.
