Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Milledgeville, Georgia. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a busy adult medical-surgical and telemetry unit with a focus on patient assessment, care coordination, and post-operative monitoring. The role supports a team-oriented environment within a Level 3 Trauma Designation facility.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Georgia, BLS (Basic Life Support), 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience, and a minimum of 0 years of additional experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification and medical-surgical certification are preferred but not required.
• Support within the Department: CNA duties include assisting with vital signs, glucose checks, patient care activities such as baths, feeding, and ambulating, as well as hourly rounding and patient transport.
• Technology/Equipment: Utilizes EPIC electronic medical record system, Alaris infusion pump, Phillips monitors, Nova Glucose test strips, and other standard hospital equipment including portable vital signs monitors, bladder scanners, IV pumps, portable oxygen systems, glucometer management via glucomander, PCA pain management, suction machines, and telemetry monitoring.
• Orientation: One day of facility orientation and two days of departmental orientation.
• Scheduling: Weekend rotations of 5-6 weekends out of 12, no on-call schedule.
• Holiday Expectations: Work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve/Day).
• Other Notes: Scrub color is navy for RN and teal blue for LPN. Free parking is available. The unit culture is busy with a strong team environment.
