Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Float Position

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Nurse Practitioner position available in the Missouri region. This role involves providing nursing care primarily for swing patients in a 10-bed unit, with potential to absorb medical-surgical patients if swing volume decreases. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule, with flexibility for floating within the medical-surgical specialty area.

Job Details:

• Location: 315 S Osteopathy Ave, Kirksville, Missouri 63501
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of relevant experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, experience in rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing, appropriate certifications, and current licensure in Missouri
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required; mainly to Medical Surgical units with existing competencies
• Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include providing nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehabilitation patients, with the possibility to care for medical-surgical patients if swing volume diminishes.
  • Scrub color can be any solid color.
  • EMR system used: MedHost.
  • No standing call; call may be supported if volume requires, but no more than 48 hours of call-off time is expected.
  • Blocked scheduling requests and week on/week off schedules may be accommodated.
