Job Summary:
Long Term Care Nurse Practitioner in Alaska. This role involves providing patient care within a critical access facility specializing in geriatrics and adult populations. The position requires adapting to a fast-paced environment and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.

Job Details:

  • Type of Facility: Critical Access, Nonprofit, Level IV Trauma Center
  • Shifts: Nights, 3x12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/24/2026
  • Experience Requirements: 0 years minimum; 2 years preferred in settings such as skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care, or home health. Travel experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Skills Needed: Assistance with ambulation, feeding, turning and repositioning, bathing/hygiene, dressing changes, vital signs, ECG, fluid management, patient transfers, and use of common equipment such as Hoyer lifts and IV pumps.
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fracture, Parkinson`s Disease, BKA, PNA, COPD, Huntingtons Disease.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Document patient care, provide personal care, assist with mobility, maintain supplies, and support interdisciplinary team efforts.
  • Schedule Details: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours weekly.
  • Travel & Licensing: Candidates must be willing to float within scope and have a valid Washington state license, with proof of application if not yet active. References from the past 2 years are required, including at least one supervisor reference.
