Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse is needed for a night shift position located in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality care in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting, supporting a patient-centered approach with a collaborative team. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on recovery and rehabilitation.

Job Details:

• Location: The facility is situated at 7700 East Parham Road, Richmond, Virginia.
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; recent medical-surgical experience or same setting; candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Rehab Registered Nurse (CRRN); experienced rehabilitation nurse.
• Unit Information:
  • Type: Acute inpatient rehabilitation
  • Number of Beds: 36
  • Staffing: 10-13 staff members per shift, including nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and sitters
  • Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
  • Equipment: Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift, EMR system (Meditech)
  • Typical Procedures: IV medication administration, PEG tube feedings, Heparin drips, wound care
  • Personality Fit: Positive, energetic, collaborative, caring, dependable.
