Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position located in Tuscadelphia, Alabama. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a 42-bed medical respiratory unit, primarily caring for patients with respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and surgical needs. The position requires a commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and flexibility to float to other units and hospitals as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing, valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact state, at least 2 years of relevant experience (or 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with 1 year of recent specialty experience)
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The medical respiratory unit is a 42-bed unit, with a specialized 8-bed respiratorystep-down component. Nurses work in a high-acuity environment with a patient to nurse ratio of 1:6 on the main unit and 1:4 on the respiratorystep-down unit. Daily interdisciplinary rounds are conducted, and the unit requires adherence to hospital protocols and standards. Parking is available.
