Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Float

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Wilson, North Carolina. This position involves supporting the labor, delivery, and postpartum units with a focus on OB/GYN care, simple med/surge overflow, and patient monitoring. The role offers a diverse clinical experience within a well-established healthcare organization, providing an opportunity to work in a busy OB department with a supportive team environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, night shift (7 p.m. 7 a.m.), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, fetal monitoring class within 2 years, NRP certification, ACLS certification, 2 years of L/D experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating in operating rooms for Labor and Delivery cases
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required for low census in labor and postpartum units
• Additional Information:
  • Unit Profile: 6 beds in labor and delivery, 1 triage room, OR on the unit, circulating nurse in C-section cases
  • Patient Ratios: OB per AWHONN standards, postpartum 6:1 maximum, usually 3-4:1
  • Equipment: GE Centricity/Epic, Meditech electronic health record system

  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing to qualify
