Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves working in an operating room environment, specializing in orthopedic and neuro procedures, including total joint arthroplasty and multilevel spine fusions, utilizing Da Vinci Xi robotic technology. The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies, with a focus on patient advocacy and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (NBSTSA), BLS (Basic Life Support), no minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joints, neuro surgeries, Xi robotic procedures, and patient advocacy skills.
• Additional Information:
  • On-call duty required, typically about 5-6 shifts every 8 weeks, including some weekends.
  • The unit is an 11 OR facility with a variety of equipment including OR beds, and utilizes Epic electronic medical records.
  • The position involves assisting with procedures such as total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and robotic cases in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Candidates must be flexible, team-oriented, and possess a positive outlook.
