Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Float Position

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Albany, New York. This role involves providing clinical care within a dynamic environment, with flexibility to float between units as needed. The position requires adaptability and a strong foundation in general medical-surgical nursing practices.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: One year of nursing experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing score; or two years of nursing experience without testing requirements. Competency test to be completed within 24 hours of submission, sent via email. Valid nursing licensure or pending license considered.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); previous float experience is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position is a vacant role, expected to begin on 08/24/2026. Candidates must adhere to facility dress codes and parking policies. Scrub colors are specified by the facility. The role involves supporting various medical-surgical units within the facility.
