Job Summary
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health to operate in a day shift setting. This role involves providing quality acute behavioral health care, including crisis stabilization and de-escalation, within a multidisciplinary team. • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 3+ years of experience in an acute behavioral health setting, Cerner electronic health record experience, and the ability to float between adult and geriatric units
• Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in crisis stabilization including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention skills, experience with therapeutic milieu management, familiarity with diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Dementia
• Additional Information: Role involves working with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6, in a facility with 12 geriatric beds and 24 adult beds. Candidate must demonstrate high energy, teamwork, and a positive attitude, with adherence to dress code in navy blue scrubs and no hooded clothing.
