Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Bryson City, North Carolina. This critical access hospital unit provides inpatient, observation, and swing bed services for adult patients age 18 and older, with most being 65 and older. The role involves working in a team-oriented environment on a 17-bed unit, emphasizing wound care and PICC/CVC management, with strong support from PT/OT/Speech, RT, and 24-hour provider coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications; 2+ years of nursing experience in Med-Surg or equivalent; minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; must be located at least 60 miles from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between the hospital and Harris Regional on Med-Surg or equivalent nursing experience.
• Additional Information: This role is a replacement of permanent staff, serving an adult patient population with a focus on teamwork in a small hospital setting; no surgical procedures are performed onsite. The hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and observation services, along with 24-hour diagnostic imaging and laboratory access.
