Job Description

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse (RN) position is based in Aspen, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a Level 1 setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care, supporting expectant mothers through active labor, and managing postpartum recovery.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift times, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN); unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date; Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Association of Women`s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses - Fetal Heart Monitoring Intermediate (FHM); The STABLE Program - STABLE Learner (STABLE); minimum of 1 year of experience as a perinatal RN
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s (BSN) or Master`s (MSN) in Nursing; experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC; bilingual skills in Spanish are highly preferred
  • Additional Information: Position requires excellent clinical judgment and the ability to function safely in a low oxygen environment at high elevation (8,000 feet). Not accepting any reason for time off requests; candidates should be prepared to commit to the specified schedule. Candidates are responsible for securing their own housing in nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, or Glenwood Springs; average rental costs in the area are approximately $3,500 per month for a one-bedroom apartment.
