Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in Ottumwa, Iowa. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care in a busy surgical environment. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and enhance patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Iowa State Board of Nursing licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility, and the ability to obtain Iowa SING Background Check clearance for criminal and child abuse records.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgery, particularly with DaVinci X Robot, and interest in learning new skills.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with a unit that performs approximately 30-35 cases weekly, utilizing advanced equipment such as the DaVinci X Robot and Stryker, and operating within a hospital that offers a broad range of surgical services. Personnel will be self-scheduling for calls, with responsibilities extending to assisting in various surgical procedures while maintaining a focus on patient safety and care quality.
