Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional for a 13-week assignment. The role involves providing direct patient care in a cardiac stepdown environment on night shift, utilizing advanced nursing skills and adhering to established protocols. The position is based in a healthcare facility serving the St. Louis, Missouri, area.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 1900-0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN License with eligibility for licensure in Missouri, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, and at least 0 years of experience in a cardiac stepdown or intermediate care setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS certification
- Float: Float rotation may be required to a similar or lower acuity unit.
- Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain professional accountability, evaluate care effectiveness, and coordinate patient treatment with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with hospital standards. The role involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients, often with assistance, and includes exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
