Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This 13-week assignment involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week, including rotating weekends and holidays. The role focuses on providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: 320 Main Street 3rd Floor, Johnstown, PA 15901
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit is highly desired.
- Behavior Characteristics: Demonstrates teamwork, safety awareness, effective communication, and commitment to professional development.
- Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient discharge planning. Maintains accurate documentation, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and provides supervision to ancillary staff. Responsible for patient safety, infection control, and safe patient handling practices. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively seeks ongoing professional growth.
