Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse in a facility located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. This position involves floating between med-surg and step-down units, providing patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires adaptability, clinical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively within various unit protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); minimum of 2 years of experience, valid nursing license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in step-down or ICU settings preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other med-surg units and ICU.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable working with both `clean` and `dirty` patients, including those on ventilators, drips requiring titration (such as Heparin, Dopamine), and post-surgical or complex medical cases. Familiarity with remote telemonitoring and reading strips is required. The hospital operates 24/7 with in-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage; training includes one to two shifts with a preceptor.
