Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) RN position in ROCKFORD, IL. This role involves providing specialized care in a busy cardiac catheterization department, supporting procedures such as PCI, coronary angiography, electrophysiology studies, and more. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including Cath Lab technologists, and adherence to department protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9-hour shifts with one rotating day off each week, plus rotating weekday and weekend call coverage. Call hours include any hours outside of 0700-1630 during weekdays, with 24-hour call shifts on weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application has been initiated, minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience, STEMI experience required, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and active ACLS certification mandated.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IR and Neuro IR procedures preferred.
• Equipment/EMR: Epic, Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson), Lifepak 20.
• Department Details: Department includes 5 procedural suites/labs with an average of 5 coronary cases, 1 neuro case, 3 electrophysiology cases, and 16 interventional radiology cases per day.
• Orientation & Training: Individualized orientation typically spanning 1-2 days per procedural area, based on prior experience.
• Additional Information: The role includes within-department floating responsibilities, and scrubs are provided by the hospital. The position begins on 08/10/2026.
