Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Zanesville, Ohio. This position involves providing specialized care to cardiac step-down patients, including post-operative open-heart patients, heart cath recovery, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down cases. The RN will work night shifts, typically every third weekend, and may occasionally care for ventilated patients or float to other units as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Zanesville, Ohio
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of three (3) years cardiac step-down experience including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open-heart patients, and experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR). BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open-heart patients and Ventilator management (in rare circumstances). Familiarity with Epic EMR.
• Additional Information: The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract, which are not limited to 12-hour shifts. All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission and included on the confirmation page. The position may require floating to other units during low volumes or coverage crises, though this is not expected.
