Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Encino, California. This position involves providing specialized oncology care in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. The RN will administer chemotherapy and manage patients with various oncological and hematological diagnoses, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BSN degree, 1-3 years of clinical experience with at least 1-2 years in oncology, BLS certification, American Heart Association (AHA) certification, Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC), experience with Epic charting system
• Certifications: BLS, AHA, ONC certification required
• Special Requirements: BSN required; experience managing ports, administering chemotherapy and blood products, and handling specialized oncology procedures is essential
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Unit Details: Serve adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of approximately 80 patients, providing comprehensive oncology care including infusion therapy, port management, and side effect management
• Additional Information: All oncological and hematological diagnoses are treated, with procedures involving chemotherapy infusion, port care, and patient monitoring through electronic charting
