Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in Fredericksburg, Texas. This role involves providing patient care in a busy emergency department with a focus on critical thinking, multitasking, and compassionate support. The position is scheduled for night shifts starting on August 24, 2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); valid licensure to practice in Texas; at least 3 years of recent emergency department experience; the ability to demonstrate multi-tasking and independent thinking skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a charge nurse role; familiarity with emergency protocols such as STEMI and stroke protocols; experience with procedures like intubation, chest tube placement, and ortho splinting.
• Additional Information: The successful candidate will work in a facility equipped with Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell systems, GE EKG machines, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. The department maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 and operates under Meditech Expanse electronic medical records system.
