Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing high-risk obstetrical care in a high-volume labor and delivery unit, with responsibilities including managing cervical ripening, triage, postpartum, and active labor care. The position offers night shifts and is suitable for experienced RNs with a background in high-risk obstetrics.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, scheduled weekly with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, a minimum of 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience, and certification in high-risk obstetrical bedside training. Experience with GE fetal monitors and documentation in Meditech or CPNS systems preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-sections), Dilation and Curettage (D&C), and postpartum recovery care.
- Additional Information: The unit is a high-acuity obstetrical unit with 24 beds and estimated patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in circulating for C-sections, managing high-acuity patients, and working in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to float to antepartum units as needed is required. Candidates should adhere to specific dress code and appearance standards, including clean nails, neat hair, and covered body art.
