Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Nashville, Tennessee. The position involves providing care in the Labor and Delivery unit within the Women`s Services Department. The role requires experience in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units, along with proficiency in assisting with obstetric procedures. The RN will participate in a 12-hour shift schedule, working days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Floating within the scope of practice may be required, and compliance clearance must be obtained prior to orientation.

• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, must have LDRP experience, in addition to experience in OB assistance or related areas; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), AWHONN (Advanced), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) are required prior to start; compliance clearance required 10 days before orientation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in obstetric assistance, familiarity with obstetric procedures.
• Additional Information: Orientation is scheduled for specialties including Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Forensics, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery. The contract includes a provision that more than three call-outs during the assigned period may lead to termination of the assignment. The facility is able to cancel one shift every four weeks during the contract.
