Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse to join a floating position within a healthcare facility located in Springfield, Massachusetts. The ICU team manages critically ill patients in a 32-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit that is also licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients. This role involves providing specialized care across Medical Intensive Care and Neuro Critical Care units, with a focus on complex cases such as sepsis, end-stage renal disease requiring CRRT or CVVH, and post-cardiac arrest care. The position requires adaptability to different ICU environments and a strong background in critical care nursing.

Job Details

• Location: Springfield, MA 01199
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: 48 hours per week, starting 08/17/2026
• EMR: Epic
• Float: No, float rotation is not required
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including NIHSS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association); minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU or 2 years in ICU setting; appropriate licensing to practice as an ICU nurse.
• Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience specifically in a Medical ICU setting; strong background in critical care nursing, capable of managing complex patient cases and emergencies.
• Additional Information: Candidates should possess excellent ICU nursing skills and be capable of providing care in high-acuity environments. Nurses with minimal experience, such as new graduates, may not be suitable for this role. The facility values strong clinical backgrounds and the ability to work effectively in demanding critical care situations.
