Job Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse in Bozeman, Montana. This position involves collaborating with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a busy surgical environment. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring patient safety throughout perioperative procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, variable day shifts with call. The position offers flexibility to cover all shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree from an accredited School of Nursing, Associate`s degree, Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), 18 months of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), 1 year circulating experience, 1 year scrub experience.
  • Essential Job Functions:
    • Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient`s health or the situation (Assessment).
    • Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
    • Identifies expected outcomes and develops a plan individualized to the patient or case (Plan of Care).
    • Implements the identified plan of care.
    • Employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment.
    • Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
    • Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices.
    • Evaluates personal nursing practice in relation to professional standards and regulations.
    • Collaborates with patients, families, and colleagues in nursing practice.
    • Ensures ethical provisions are integrated into all areas of practice.
    • Incorporates research findings into daily practice.
    • Provides leadership within the professional practice setting.
    • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Maintains strong emotional intelligence, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
    • Participates in cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education as per hospital policy.
  • Additional Information:
    • Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
    • Candidate must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered.
