Mental Health Counselor / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Seattle, WA. This inpatient mental health facility requires RNs to work on a 12-hour night shift. The position involves limited scope clinical responsibilities, including documentation, rounding, patient observation, and support tasks, without patient load management or assessments. The role provides an opportunity to work in a specialized mental health environment with adult involuntary patients.

Job Details

• Location: 2600 SW Holden Street, Seattle, WA 98126
• Schedule: Nights; 12 hours shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 1 year inpatient mental health or medical hospitalization experience; CNA or NAR Washington state license; BLS; First Aid; De-escalation certificate (CPI or MOAB); Food Handlers Permit (must obtain prior to start date)
• Preferred Qualifications: Behavioral health experience; general patient care; charting skills
• Patient Types: Adult behavioral health patients aged 18 years and above, involuntary
• Patient to Tech Ratio: Night shift approximately 1:7
• Support Staff: Hospitalist on call, supervisor, receptionist available
• Float: Float rotation may be required, covering 2nd and 3rd floors
• EMR: EPIC
• Scrubs: Any color except tan, or business professional
• Notes: This is a free-standing involuntary and treatment facility offering specialized care in a mental health environment.
