Registered Nurse / Radiology

Job Summary:
Radiology Department Registered Nurse position is located in Astoria, NY. This role involves providing safe, competent, and high-quality care to patients within the radiology unit. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, support patient safety initiatives, and promote patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts with 7.5 hours per shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), 2 years of ambulatory outpatient and radiation safety experience, minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience for travel roles (not required for Per Diem positions), EPIC experience highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in radiology or outpatient care settings, teaching and therapeutic skills, high reliability practices, inventory and operations management, documentation proficiency.
• Additional Information: The position requires coordination with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate resource utilization, facilitate patient throughput, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives. A Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is preferred; an associate degree may be considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program.
