Job Summary:
The step down unit registered nurse position is located in Quincy, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a 24-bed acute care setting with a patient population including dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary issues, sepsis, high flow oxygen needs, and behavioral patients requiring intravenous drip medications. The position is scheduled for night shifts and offers the opportunity to work up to every other weekend.
Job Details:
- Position: Registered Nurse Step Down Unit
- Location: Quincy, Illinois
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit; Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; Education requirements and degrees are not specified but are assumed to be met through licensure and certifications

- Float: Float rotation may be required

- Unit notes: 24 bed unit with a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:3 or 1:4, depending on acuity
- Patient population includes dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, high flow oxygen therapy, and behavior management patients needing IV medications such as dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amio, dobutamine, Nicardipine
- There is an educator on the unit working closely with staff
- Possible work up to every other weekend
