Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nursing in Vermont. This position involves delivering age-specific, direct patient care on a medical-surgical floor. The registered nurse (RN) will utilize the Nursing Process within the framework of the Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care. The role includes leadership responsibilities, such as delegation of work to other healthcare team members, while ensuring compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare delivery.

Job Details:

  • Location: Vermont
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), de-escalation training; minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including recent experience in medical-surgical nursing, and ability to start by 08/13/2026
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a similar medical-surgical setting, familiarity with age-specific patient care, leadership capabilities
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for patient care delivery according to facility standards and protocols. Active certifications are required prior to the start date; if not active, a booked course must be scheduled at the time of clinical orientation.
