Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room (ORT) for an assignment located in Harlingen, Texas. The role involves maintaining aseptic techniques in the operating room, setting up equipment and supplies, passing instruments during surgical procedures, and assisting with case preparation and breakdown. The position requires flexibility to be available for scheduled call when needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician, 0 years of experience, Texas state licensure, and the ability to scrub in aseptic techniques in the operating room
• Additional Information: Surgical Technicians are responsible for aseptic technique in the operating room, setting up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases. They scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgeries, pull cases as needed, break down cases at procedure end, and set up operating room supplies for upcoming days. Availability for scheduled call is required as per unit needs.
