Registered Nurse / Hospice

Job Summary:
Hospice Nurse position in Woodruff, Wisconsin. This role involves providing compassionate hospice care within an 8-bedroom hospice house, adhering to client-specific charting protocols, and working primarily night shifts. The position is suited for RNs with some prior hospice experience, committed to delivering quality end-of-life care in a supportive environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Woodruff, WI 54568
• Shift: 12-hour nights; 1900-0700
• Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin or compact RN license; AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS); 1-2 years of hospice experience or more; Associate Degree or Certificate; must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing
• Scheduling Notes: Night shift with every other weekend requirement; on-call for low census hours which count toward 36 hours of unbillable hours; call back minimum of 2 hours if called back to the facility.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Charting for changes in patient condition, head-to-toe assessments, managing death visits, and documenting on days with potential event-driven responsibilities.
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Scrubs: Clean, work-appropriate scrubs of any style are required.
• Additional Information: This contract offers flexibility for low census unbillable hours; on-call hours may be assigned and will count towards total hours worked; travel and on-call pay apply as per HR policies.
