Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiac (ICU OH) position is located in a healthcare facility in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care in cardiac and critical care units for adult patients. The candidate must have ICU experience and be prepared to float to Medical Surgical units as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, current CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification; at least 1 year of ICU experience with extensive cardiac experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical units.
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments following established policies and standards. Develops and implements patient care plans according to physician directives and hospital policy. Participates in performance improvement activities and supports clinical expertise across units. Critical thinking is essential for patient safety and experience, with escalation to the appropriate chain of command when needed.
